The Eve Trouser is cropped, with a slightly tapered leg and optional turn ups. It's an easy garment to make, fitting neatly at the waist and over the hips with a simple side zip and two back pockets. Choose to make pleats or darts into the waist seam.

• Recommended fabric: ideally suited to a mid-heavyweight cotton canvas, as this keeps the structured shape. Other options are: corduroy, light-medium weight woollens and 7 - 12oz denim. The Ottoline is a boxy workwear jacket with cuff and side seam splits and inside pocket. Although a lovely design detail the vents are a little tricky, so we have included instructions to simplify Ottoline by excluding the side seams and sleeve vents if you like.
